COLOR — Silver gray bias cut silk ribbon, hand dyed in my studio with plant dyes. For bridal bouquet, wedding invitations, gift wrapping, or styling. Each silk ribbon is one of a kind and may have nuances, marbling, and speckles from the natural dyeing process. Plant dyeing embraces imperfection. You are buying a "living color" that may appear to change depending on the lighting.
BIAS CUT SILK — Introducing our new bias cut silk ribbon! Due to the nature of bias cut silk ribbon, there is a seam approximately in the middle of the length of the following widths: 0.75" and 1.25". Bias cut silk ribbon drapes more beautifully and adds flexibility, the width can appear thinner when pulled tight. The edges are unfinished, but will not unravel. By running your fingers through the edges, you can create a soft frayed look. This 100% habutai silk ribbon has a beautiful sheen.
WHO IS THIS SILK RIBBON FOR? — This silk ribbon was hand dyed with the fine art bride in mind. A bride who appreciates the art of natural dyeing and is not looking to match her wedding colors exactly. Also, a bride who loves natural textures and looks for meaningful details to adorn her wedding.
PROCESS — Every step is slowly crafted by hand in my studio: from hand dyeing silk in a pot using plant dyes from flowers, roots, foliage, nuts, fruits, and woods; sourced from fair trade companies or locally foraged, to lightly pressing for a natural texture, and rolling onto handmade wooden spools.

Following a wabi sabi lifestyle, every step is slowly crafted by hand in my studio: from hand dyeing silk using plant dyes from flowers, roots, foliage, nuts, fruits, and woods; sourced from fair trade companies or locally foraged, to tearing it organically into ribbons embracing imperfection, lightly pressing for a natural texture, and rolling onto handmade wooden spools.
